Aloes Guest House is a luxury, upmarket guesthouse in the Karoo Heartland town of Middelburg. Situated on the N9/N10, halfway between Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg, and Johannesburg and the Garden Route/Cape Town, this makes it the ideal stopover.The guesthouse offers a variety of accommodation. The Guest House offers en-suite rooms that have been exquisitely furnished. The garden is spacious with braai & swimming facilities.

As you enter Middelburg via the N9, you will see Aloes Guesthouse on your right-hand side.Bookings and reception for Aloes guests are done via our main reception office at Celtis Country Lodge.Our friendly receptionist and staff will help you get settled.

Middelburg lies in the middle of its surrounding town, approximately 100 km from all. Surrounded by Graaff-Reinet, Cradock, Steynsburg, Colesberg, Richmond & Hanover, it is no secret as to where the name "Middelburg" came from.

Middelburg is halfway between Johannesberg & Cape Town, as well as between Bloemfontein & Port Elizabeth. The R56 route serves as a gateway between the Western Cape && Kwazulu-Natal Provinces. It is the shortest route between these provinces.

The R56 route begins at Middelburg and ends at Kokstad. Towns that you’ll past through, are Steynsburg, Molteno, Dordrecht, Ugie, Elliot, Maclear and Matatiele.

Aloes Guest House

Aloes is a Luxury Guesthouse with a spectacular Karoo view and hospitality. Aloes consists of eight contemporary furnished rooms that are divided over two premises about one kilometre from each other.

Both premises have secure parking, a swimming pool and a tranquil garden.All rooms have air conditioning, DSTV, hospitality tray and en suite bathrooms.

Aloes Guest House does not offer any catering, but should guests wish to enjoy a hot meal they can visit Celtis Restaurant which is situated approximately 1.5km from Aloes.
