From May to November the Southern Right Whale uses the bay as a nursery during calving season and visitors flock to Struisbaai to witness these magnificent mammals. This beautiful area also serves as inspiration to artists and photographers.

There are a boatload of activities for everyone. From surfing to petting Parrie the Stingray in the Struisbaai Harbour (Parrie loves fishy treats). Struisbaai and Agulhas offer a variety of things to do, have someone take a photo at the Southernmost Tip where you have one foot in the Indian Ocean and the other in the Pacific Ocean. Climb the Agulhas Lighthouse, and unlike most beaches Struisbaai is full of beautiful shells.
